A true small-town patriotic celebration of our nation's Independence! Come decked out in red, white and blue to cheer passing floats, antique and classic cars, kids on bikes and trikes, and even a tractor or two. The parade's one-mile route begins at the Craig County Fairgrounds, travels down Route 311 to Main Street then two blocks to the Courthouse. Celebrants then gather at the Craig County Farmers Market for the Craig Valley Chapter DAR Parade After-Party. Local nonprofit groups will offer a variety of food and beverage, as well as live music entertainment. Watermelon eating contest, Best Beard contest, and Most Patriotic Bonnet/Hats contests too!
Winning entries for the parade participants, including the coveted Patriot Cup are also recognized. Come enjoy the best old-fashioned small-town Independence Day celebration around!
