Carvins Cove: The Lower Trails

Enjoy great views of the reservoir as well as beautiful trails with rhododendron lined creeks and pine forests on this hike through the lower elevations at Carvins Cove. This is an approximately 5 mile hike along Schoolhouse, Arrowhead, Enchanted Forest and Little Bell with about 500 feet of elevation gain and is a great beginner hike! Program fee includes transportation and leadership.

Ages: 18+ or 10+ with adult

Difficulty: Green Circle/Easy

Parent or guardian must be present on this trip for participants under age 18. We will meet at the Public Works Service Center at 1802 Courtland Road NE in Roanoke, VA.
Bring plenty of water (2 liters), snacks, lunch, proper clothing and footwear (good shoes or hiking boots), a backpack to carry all of your items and trekking poles if you use them. Just a reminder that dogs are not allowed on any City of Roanoke hike.
