Buchanan Garden Festival - CANCELED

ATTENTION: In response to the latest COVID-19 information from the State and County, the Town is cancelling the Buchanan Garden Festival to protect the community’s health and safety.

Kick off spring during the 7th annual, Buchanan Garden Festival on Saturday, May 2nd from 10 a.m. through 4 p.m.. 

The one-day, family-friendly event features vendors offering plants, flowers, arts, crafts, food, music, children's entertainment and more. With a little bit of something for everyone, additional activities include gardening programs by the Roanoke Virginia Master Gardeners, a May Pole Dance, a Quick Draw Plein Air Painting Competition, an Art in the Garden Class, a Kid’s Tea Party and a Main Street Sidewalk Sale.

Among the many features of the Buchanan Garden Festival, the music on the Main Stage and Children’s Activity Area are local favorites. The Main Stage is located in the Garden of the historic Wilson Warehouse commonly known as the Community House and will feature local and regional musicians performing a range of relaxing tunes. Meanwhile, the Children’s Activity Area will feature a Children’s Paint Wall as well as games to keep youngsters entertained. 

Held rain or shine, the festival is centered around the historic Wilson Warehouse and Buchanan Town Park located at 485 Lowe Street, just off of Main Street in downtown, Buchanan. Located just about a half hour outside of Roanoke and Lexington, this annual spring event makes for a great day or weekend trip. Admission and parking for the event are Free.
