Buchanan Arbor Day Celebration

Join Buchanan as we "plant the seeds of tomorrow, today" during the Town's annual, Arbor Day Celebration held on the Buchanan Town Park.
Trees planted on the Town Park not only provide beauty, shade and shelter for future generations, they will help absorb and slow down precipitation and filter water before it reaches the James River, thereby helping to keep the James River and Chesapeake Bay clean. The event features the Virginia Department Of Forestry presentation of a Tree City USA designation to the Town as well as the unveiling of the Buchanan Arbor Day Donor's Plaque.

Following the unveiling, there will be a ceremonial planting.
