More Information

Our region is bountiful in the summertime, but even among the splendor and variety of local produce, there’s something about the humble tomato that stands out. Maybe it’s the diversity of color, size, and flavors; maybe it’s the fact that it has migrated so widely, and is now embraced and revered in cuisine from around the world.

We are thrilled to announce the first annual Botetourt Tomato Festival, a celebration of the region’s finest tomatoes, and the farmers and hobbyists who cultivate them. This event will feature:

-The area’s first tomato sandwich contest (to register, visit http://shorturl.at/rxFMR)
- An heirloom tomato tasting/pairing with subject experts

- Live entertainment and activities!
- Vendor Favorite Tomato Recipes.
- A TON OF LOCAL TOMATOES

This is a can’t-miss event that we intend to transform into an enduring yearly tradition. Mark your calendars and get excited! We certainly are!
Created and presented by the Botetourt Farmer’s Market in conjunction with local event producer and foodie, Johnny Camacho.
