More Information

Fleda A. Ring Artworks is proud to present a community arts project sponsored by Little Green Hive: “Pareidolia” by Dave Stein and “Ephemerality” by Jeni S. Benos. The reception will take place in conjunction with the opening night of new works by renowned local artists Dreama Kattenbraker and Ann Glover. Dave Stein’s subversive and colorful paintings act as a “visual voice for our environment” and explore the consequences of large scale human actions. His works express “both exuberant wonder as well as deep disturbance at the juxtaposition of life’s sublime beauties and humanity’s darkest ugliness.” Jeni S. Benos’ photographs offer glimpses of “nature overtaking”. Her meticulously crafted works “can be perceived in a great variety of ways. What may appear creepy and unsettling to one individual may be viewed as nostalgic and warm to another.” The project is on exhibition from September 23rd to November 22nd on the first floor of 16 West Marketplace. “Pareidolia” is a visual act of environmental advocacy.
