2023 USA Cycling Amateur Road National Championships - Time Trials

A time trial event in cycling is a “race against the clock”, a form of competition in which individual cyclists are sent out at intervals to cover a specified distance on a road course. The contestant with the fastest time for the distance wins. There will be courses of varied distances based on the age group of the competitors.

We are pleased to partner with Roanoke County to host the time trial event at Explore Park. The course will be run on a closed portion of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Spectators are encouraged to attend this years’ time trial race as the staging area will be on the beautiful Roanoke River Parkway between the Blue Ridge Parkway and Explore Park. The Blue Ridge Parkway will be closed, event access will be from Rutrough Road in Roanoke.
