John Long, director of education with the National D-Day Memorial in Bedford, will tell the story of how Scouts supported the war effort in his presentation, “The Boy Scouts Go To War, 1941-1945.” Long is a former director of the Salem Museum, an adjunct professor at Roanoke College and a freelance columnist. Held at O. Winston Link and History Museum, 7 p.m..
