The 17th annual Sounds of the Mountains Festival combines the magic of storytelling and music with the peace and beauty of Camp Bethel. This year we welcome to the stage the nationally known storytellers Kevin Kling, Odds Bodkin, Sheila Arnold Jones and Jim May. Enjoy the musical performance of The Company Store Band, a variety of food vendors, and a Friday campfire with s'mores. Ticket options include full weekend, day-only, and a family rate. All performances are held indoors. Camp Bethel is located in Botetourt County, north of Roanoke in the Blue Ridge mountains. The Jefferson National Forest adjoins the camp's 470 acres of forests, streams, open meadows, and hiking trails. Conveniently located 5 miles off I-81, ten miles north of Roanoke, Camp Bethel offers a beautiful spring setting for a storytelling festival. Lodging and camping available by advance reservation.
