The first snow of 2017 has fallen in the Roanoke Valley in Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains!
It is 2017’s first Blue Ridge Snow Day!
The region has turned into a spectacular winter wonderland of snow-covered trees and mountaintops as parts of the area have received up to five inches of snow and it continues to fall.
With many houses still decorated for the holidays, the snow has created a perfect winter scene.
We’ve put together this photo album featuring images of our first snow of 2017 in Virginia’s Blue Ridge so you can enjoy the beautiful views while staying nice and cozy inside.
We’ll continue to add to this album as our friends on social media share more images with us.
Kudos to the @City_of_Roanoke for getting downtown clear! We are open! Special #Brunch menu in effect! So, when it's safe - come on down! pic.twitter.com/QdUIybQHWV
