Now in its 19th year, Microfestivus has earned a reputation as one of the premier craft beer festivals on the East Coast.

For beer lovers, it’s the perfect excuse for a trip to the Roanoke Valley in Virginia’s Blue Ridge and a great way to celebrate August being Virginia Craft Beer Month.

At this year’s festival, which takes place in Downtown Roanoke on Saturday, August 13, nearly 70 brewers are expected to be in attendance, offering over 150 different kinds of beers. From classic local favorites to limited batches from unique breweries located around the country, the selection at Microfestivus features a little of everything.

Local breweries based in Virginia’s Blue Ridge will be in attendance. Sweetwater Brewing Company, Devils Backbone Brewing Company, Bell’s Brewery, Terrapin Beer Company and many other popular craft breweries are also part of the lineup.

There are even options for people who prefer flavors other than beer, such as ciders and wineries.

A variety of ticket packages make it easy for you to decide how much you’ll want to drink and whether you want to spread the wealth with an assortment of small tastings, or stick to a few pints of the ones you love the most.

And to help you pace yourself, Microfestivus features good eats from local restaurants and food trucks, including the Texas Tavern, Fork in the Road Food Truck, 2Dye4Que and more.

To go along with the craft beer and delicious food, there will also be live music provided by Big Lick Entertainment. Corey Hunley & The Millionaires take the stage from 12:00 - 1:30 p.m. and they’re followed by Five Dollar Shake from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. The music concludes with a performance by Andrew Scotchie & The River Rats from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.

Cheers to a great Blue Ridge Day!
