Jazz lovers know where to go when they want a great live show, excellent food, and tasty craft beer. Blue 5 is it, and you can also take a bottle of brew to go. There are 46 taps on rotation, and CraftBeer.com calls Blue 5 “one of the top 25 Best Beer Bars in America.” It’s also a great restaurant for a craft beer flight.

Southern Hills Homebrew Supply | Roanoke

Southern Hills is the place to go when you want to dip your toe into the world of beer making. Learn some of the ins, outs, whys, and how to begin when you pop into this little cabin off the Blue Ridge Parkway. One of the coolest things you’ll find here is the homemade #Frankenyeast, an experimental hodge-podge homebrewers look forward to integrating into their own recipes.
