It’s almost time for the return of FloydFest to Virginia’s Blue Ridge.
This annual summer celebration of live music in the Blue Ridge Mountains has gained a reputation of being one of the best music festivals in the country, both for its impressive collection of musical acts and beautiful setting.
This year, FloydFest 17 - Freedom, will take place July 26-30 at its traditional location near Milepost 170.5 on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia’s Blue Ridge.
Organized by Across-The-Way Productions, festival attendees can look forward to five days of incredible music on nine different stages, as well as healing arts, dancing, kids activities, and outdoor adventures that take advantage of all the nearby opportunities for recreation.
Whether you’re jamming to the sounds of a new band you just learned about, relaxing with a session of yoga, learning some new fly fishing techniques, playing with your kids in the Children’s Universe, or taking a float on the Little River, it’s all part of an authentic FloydFest experience.
The lodging options are also well-suited for a mountain music festival, with many festival goers taking advantage of the spaces available for camping & glamping. Information about Camping & Glamping packages are available on the FloydFest website, but book quickly as spots are selling fast!
As always, the music is the main draw to the festival, and this year’s lineup is full of a variety of unique styles and artists.
A few of the headline performers at FloydFest 17 include Thievery Corporation, Michael Franti & Spearhead, St. Paul & Broken Bones, and Steel Pulse.
