In addition to its amazing cupcakes and decadent cookie sandwiches, Bubblecake also serves gourmet donuts! Located on the upper level of the Towers Shopping Center, the menu rotates through flavors like Creme Brulee, Blackberry Cobbler, Stuffed Cinnamon Roll, German Chocolate and French Toast.

Don’t let a food allergy keep you from eating a doughnut in Virginia’s Blue Ridge! Corbin’s Confections is a Salem bakery that specializes in gluten-free, peanut-free and tree-nut free products! The shop regularly offers doughnuts, such as chocolate, vanilla, and maple!

3. Cupcake Cottage Sweet Treats & Gifts

The weekends are extra special at Cupcake Cottage Sweet Treats & Gifts as that is when the shop has doughnuts on the menu! Fresh donuts are served on Fridays and Saturdays and there are an assortment of flavors, including seasonal specials. Cupcake Cottage is also a great option for a special event, party or wedding.

If you’re planning a wedding or party, consider booking Delish Sweets & Treats, which was recently named one of the top wedding vendors by Virginia Living Magazine. This boutique bakery specializes in dessert catering, which includes an assortment of donut hole flavors like Dreamsicle or Strawberry Crunch.

6. Holly Jo’s Creekside Grill

You might recognize Holly Jo’s Creekside Grill from its spot on our list of Best Burgers in Virginia’s Blue Ridge, but you’ll also want to save room to enjoy some of the fresh-made donut holes! 7. Jack Brown’s Beer & Burger Joint

Sunday is definitely fun-day when dining at Jack Brown’s Beer & Burger Joint in Downtown Roanoke! The Sunday specialty burger is The Showalter, a wagyu beef burger topped with applewood smoked bacon, egg and cheese on a glazed doughnut bun. It’s the state fair served right to your table. 

8. Fortunato

This traditional Italian style kitchen is bringing Italy’s version of doughnuts to Virginia’s Blue Ridge with zeppolis on the dessert menu. The ricotta doughnuts are served with a chocolate sauce and offer hints of orange and anise. Buonissimo!  

9. Martin’s Downtown Bar & Grill

Doughnuts mixed with pound cake to create a bread pudding that is served with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, and topped with caramel sauce. Who says no?! The Glazed Doughnut Bread Pudding is a great to dessert to share at the end of your meal at Martin’s Downtown Bar & Grill. It could also be a sweet way to get the nightcap started as the restaurant hosts live music nearly every night of the week.

Though Really Good Donuts doesn’t have a shop or set physical location, you can follow them on Facebook & Instagram to stay updated on where they’ll be serving! Two regular spots you’ll find them are at Sweet Donkey Coffee every Wednesday morning and on Saturday mornings at the Grandin Village Community Market. The hot cinnamon sugar donut is #bae.
