Virginia's Blue Ridge Wraps Up
2013 Media Coverage from Coast-to-Coast

It was an exciting year for Virginia's Blue Ridge with a record increase of 40% more media coverage over 2012, highlighting our unique metro-mountain mix.  Hosting over 60 travel journalists resulted in a wide variety of articles and opened new eyes to Virginia's Blue Ridge region, "We weren't sure what to expect from our trip to Roanoke, Virginia. Mountains, sure.  History, sure.  We found those, but what we also found was a community of welcoming people, a vibrant place for the arts, for culinary delights, and that sense of place that is so captivating," as stated in a recent article by journalist Mary Casey-Sturk, who participated in our October media tour.

We look forward to expanding our public relations efforts even more in 2014 and sincerely appreciate the support provided to us by our partners in the region!
