Potential visitors from Canada are being introduced to Virginia's Blue Ridge, thanks to a recent feature in the spring issue of Canadian World Traveller.

The article highlights many of the unique experiences can expect to find during a getaway to the Blue Ridge Mountains, including the scenic beauty of the Blue Ridge Parkway, railroad heritage at the Virginia Museum of Transportation and O. Winston Link Museum in Downtown Roanoke, and award-winning flavors like the craft beer at Parkway Brewing Company and locally-grown wines at Chateau Morrisette Winery.

The story was written by Cherie DeLory, who was hosted by Visit Virginia's Blue Ridge last fall as part of a media tour.

DeLory experienced with the Southern hospitality and flavor of the region, saying:

"This is a place where an exuberant "y'all" is a term of endearment, and buttery biscuits, deep fried green beans, and shrimp and grits is home cooking at its best."
