Phase Three guidelines began today allowing for social gatherings of up to 250 people and businesses such as restaurants, retail, private campgrounds various venues and farmers markets more flexibility to open. Face coverings will continue to be required in indoor public spaces and other establishments, and people still need to focus on physical distancing.  Late yesterday, Governor Northam issued a new statement prohibiting congregating in bars, stressing caution as Virginia moves into Phase Three with cases rising in other states. Virginia’s Blue Ridge Visitor Center is now open 9:30am – 4:30pm every day to assist visitors. Local attractions continue to safely reopen their doors to visitors. Make sure to check with each attraction for their operating procedures before visiting. 

The Blue Ridge Parkway remains closed from Milepost 112 (Rt. 24 in Vinton) to Milepost 136 (Rt. 221 at Adney Gap) due to recent rains and deteriorated road conditions.  For more information click here.
