The annual holiday lights and decorations at The Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center in Virginia’s Blue Ridge are highlighted in a new feature by Travel Channel.
In a slideshow posted on the Travel Channel website, the publication includes the historic hotel as part of its article titled “40 Places to See Stunning Holiday Lights and Sights for Free.”
The Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center is known as one of the best spots in Virginia’s Blue Ridge to see holiday decorations, with its annual Fashions for Evergreens tree competition. This unique event features over 30 custom-designed trees that are created by local businesses and organizations. Visitors can donate money and vote for their favorites in an event that serves as a fundraiser for the United Way of the Roanoke Valley.
The backdrop of the hotel’s Tudor-style architecture and rich history is the perfect spot for this special holiday celebration.
It’s become a tradition for many families to take an annual holiday photo in front of their favorite trees on display.
The Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center earned a spot in the slideshow alongside other distinguished spots such as The White House, The Jefferson Hotel in Richmond, the Waldorf Astoria in New York, The Roosevelt Hotel in New Orleans, and The Bellagio in Las Vegas.
