Mountain Lake Lodge is celebrating the 30 year anniversary of the classic movie “Dirty Dancing” and the celebration is the subject of a recent feature in The Buffalo News.

The story is titled “Mountain Lake Lodge celebrates 30 years of ‘Dirty Dancing’” and was written by Emeri Krawczyk. Visit Virginia’s Blue Ridge and local agency ND&P partnered together to pitch the story with targeted distribution of a press release about Mountain Lake’s anniversary celebration.

The piece highlights upcoming Dirty Dancing themed weekends at the lodge and packages that are available for guests.

There are also recommendations for activities on the property, such as the lodge’s exciting adventure center, which includes the Treetop Adventures Aerial Park with a zip line and high ropes course. Other nearby adventures include the hike to the stunning Cascade Falls.

The following is an excerpt from the article:

"Who didn’t fall in love with Patrick Swayze (Johnny) as he romanced Jennifer Grey (Baby) in “Dirty Dancing” the summer of 1987?

The low budget movie became a massive box office hit, the soundtrack went platinum and the rest is history.

While the story was set in New York’s Catskill Mountains, one of the primary filming locations was actually Pembroke, Va., site of the Mountain Lake Lodge, a real place you can visit."
