Sixth Annual Touch-a-Truck to Feature Wheels, Wings and Water!
July 26, 2014 at Roanoke County's Green Hill Park
On Saturday July 26th, from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at Roanoke County's Green Hill Park, kids of all ages will once again climb, touch and explore an expanse of cool and unique vehicles at our sixth annual Touch-a-Truck event. Our goal this year is to once again present more than 200 vehicles, making this once again the largest event of its type in the United States! This FREE community event will allow kids and adults to sit inside, touch and learn all about vehicles they usually don't have the opportunity to be up close and personal with. Thousands of local citizens come out each year and this year we anticipate even more! Come be a part of this electrifying event!
Vehicle drivers and operators will be on hand to educate the public about their vehicles and answer any questions. Favorite activities from past events will return this year, including Firemen's Foam, petting zoo, food vendors, and a magician along with other special attractions! Parental supervision and participation is essential and cameras are highly recommended.
Touch-a-Truck is a great event for companies, organizations and individuals to promote themselves by letting children see, touch and learn about their vehicles. Event vehicles vary from small Bobcats to large Monster Trucks. There are also airplanes, helicopters and boats to explore. Sign up your truck, plane, or boat for the event by submitting the Touch-a-Truck Participation forms located on the Roanoke County Parks, Recreation & Tourism website. And remember to invite your friends, family and co-workers to participate in the event as well!
Roanoke County's Touch-a-Truck event is one of the largest of its kind in the Southeast and was awarded the 2014 "Top 20 Events in The Southeast" by the Southeast Tourism Society. Come join Roanoke County Parks, Recreation and Tourism and our sponsors, Fox 21/27 and Wal-Mart, for a day filled with adventures, new opportunities and memories that will last a lifetime.
