Enjoy a weekend of wining, dining and lodging at its finest

Beautiful summer weekends lend themselves to touring the heart of Virginia’s wine country. The Peaks of Otter Lodge brings that to life for guests with their new Wine Trail Package with tours departing every Saturday now through October 31st. Overnight guests can enjoy a weekend of wining, dining plus lodging at its finest in newly renovated rooms!

Nestled deep in the Blue Ridge Mountains, this Wine Trail allows participants to enjoy the awe-inspiring scenery of the mountains, lakes and the local community. Because of the eastern slopes of the Blue Ridge and the rolling countryside to the east, the wineries are blessed with excellent topography, fertile granite-based clay soil and a growing season of over 200 days. This combination yields grapes with a rich and multi-layered old-world flavor.

Peaks of Otter’s Wine Trail Package rate includes one's night lodging, wine shuttle to three local wineries and box lunch, breakfast and applicable gratuities. There are two different Wine Trail routes that are available to guests. One route will visit Savoy-Lee Winery, LeoGrande Vineyards and Peaks of Otter Winery. The second route will stop by White Rock Vineyards, Ramulose Ridge Vineyards and Hickory Hill Vineyards. The winery routes are rotated each week.

At the wineries, guests can expect a unique experience with several offering additional agricultural opportunities including interaction with farm animals, vineyards and orchard tours and picnic areas. Warm smiles and friendly conversation await each Wine Tour participant!

People wanting to relax in the Blue Ridge can book their Peaks of Otter Wine Trail Package at peaksofotter.com or by calling (866) 387-9905 and mentioning Promo Code WINE TIME. $5.00 per person tasting fee is additional for each winery and paid by guest on day of trip. Guests will also receive a 10% discount for purchased wines on the tour.

The wine shuttle is also available to lodging guests who do not book the package. The $40 per person rate includes the shuttle fee and a box lunch, but does not include the $5 per person, per winery tasting fee.
Additional lodging promotions, events and activities for planning your Blue Ridge getaway are available at www.peaksofotter.com or call (866) 387-9905 to speak with the reservation office.
