Virginia’s Blue Ridge is the subject of a recent feature highlighting local outdoor adventures and vegetarian cuisine on the Real Food Traveler website.
The article was written by Teresa Bergen, who visited the region in June 2016 as part of a media tour hosted by Visit Virginia’s Blue Ridge.
As a vegan who loves experiencing the outdoors, Bergen participated in many recreational activities during her visit, including a guided outing on the James River with Twin River Outfitters, a ride in a pontoon boat on Philpott Lake, and a bike road on the Roanoke Valley Greenways.
She also sampled some of the great vegetarian cuisine in Virginia’s Blue Ridge, with meals at Wildflour Restaurant & Bakery, Ippy’s, Wasena City Tap Room, Town Center Tap House, and Fortunato.
