Carla Dirlikov (La Traviata, '05) stars in the title role as the free-spirited gypsy, the most famous femme fatale in all of musical theater. Rising opera stars Philip Alongi and Jarrett Gieseler make their Roanoke debuts as her love interests, the soldier Don Jose, and the toreador Escamillo. Amy Cofield Williamson (Lucia di Lammermoor, '10) sings the leading soprano role of Micaela. Members of the Roanoke College Children's Choir, the Opera Roanoke Chorus and Young Apprentice Artists, and the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra are all under the baton of Opera Roanoke General and Artistic Director, Scott Williamson.
