Opera Roanoke 2014-2015 season: Comedy Tonight!

Opera Roanoke is excited to announce one of the most entertaining seasons in its 39-year history: Comedy Tonight! In fall 2014, Mozart's Abduction will be presented in Roanoke for the first time. Its ebullient score and unrestrained comic tone, balanced by the sublime beauty expected from the leading ladies and men, ensures its success. This production will play for one night only, November 22, at 7:30 p.m..

Opera Roanoke's spring 2015 production is Rossini's Cinderella, the most beloved of operatic versions of the Cinderella story. If you don't know Rossini's bel canto gem of musical comedy, you're in for a smorgasbord of musical delights. The Prince and Cinderella sing their way into our imaginations on Friday, March 20 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, March 22 at 3 p.m. Who says opera doesn't have happy endings?
