Roanoke, Va. - The Roanoke Valley Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) recently introduced the 2013 comprehensive Visitor's Guide to assist visitors as they navigate throughout Virginia's Blue Ridge. This year's updated guide also includes a new, in-depth regional map of Virginia's Blue Ridge region focusing on visitor interests within a two hour radius. This official destination guide is a must-have resource for planning a trip and exploring the entire region.

For the first time, this new map illustrates the region with over 190 points of interest encompassing lodging, things to do/recreation, golf courses, shopping and other key locations identified for the traveling public.

"The convenience of the new regional map is an ideal complement to the wealth of information offered in the visitor's guide," said Landon Howard, President of the Roanoke Valley CVB.

Whether perusing downtown streets or discovering the best mountain trails, visitors have an array of options at their fingertips when planning their metro-mountain getaway in Virginia's Blue Ridge. This 56 page guide and map are distributed free to visitors as a convenient resource for planning a group event to the area - weddings, family reunions, sporting events and/or meetings/conventions.

The combination map and Visitor's Guide are a perfect complement to the website http://www.visitvablueridge.com, also available in a mobile friendly format with a GPS mapping feature, offering an enhanced visitor experience when researching specific things to do, dining, events and more.
