New Tourism Brand Making Headlines


"Virginia's Blue Ridge" is the region's official new destination tourism brand.  The Roanoke Valley Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) launched the new brand in April of this year.  The branding effort is part of a strategy to stimulate the local tourism economy.  "Tourism is BIG Business and as we create a stronger more effective marketing campaign, the result will boost visitation to the region," said Landon Howard, President of the Roanoke Valley CVB.  Howard also stated, "through various partnerships, we can extend the "Virginia's Blue Ridge" brand generating more business and sustaining jobs." 


Headlines in a recent article in ConventionSouth Magazine read "Insider's Guide to Virginia's Blue Ridge", "Rendezvous in Roanoke Valley" and "Blue Ridge Venues".  With a circulation of nearly 20,000 and an advertising equivalency of $13,680.00, the new brand is beginning to take shape.  Click this link for a look at the most recent media coverage of the region.
