Media Coverage Breaks New Record!

The Roanoke Valley Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) achieved an all time high for media coverage exceeding goals set for the FY 2011 - 2012.  Media coverage results totaled over 34 million in circulation and an advertising equivalency of over $525,000.  Impressions of Virginia's Blue Ridge reached numerous consumers from Canada to Houston and Kansas to New Jersey.  Headlines included "Roanoke keeps Track of Change"  to "Room to Roam" and "Salem Sox a Big Hit in Roanoke Valley Blue Ridge Mountains Region of Virginia".  To see additional articles visit our web site press room.

"The value of this initiative continues to pay dividends with true impressions of the region targeting a variety of markets," stated Landon Howard, President of the Roanoke Valley CVB.  "Media coverage about the new destination brand, Virginia's Blue Ridge, has generated record web site traffic that was made possible only through support of many Roanoke Valley CVB partners."  If you missed the new destination brand announcement press conference, take a look at the "fashion show" of the year.  G
