Media Alert - NPR Website to Feature Regional Podcast

A feature about Virginia's Blue Ridge was recorded last Fall (October 2011) during a media tour hosted by the Roanoke Valley Convention & Visitors Bureau.  We introduced California NPR radio personality Tom Wilmer to several partners, resulting in a series of podcasts that were broadcast in California with NPR affiliate KCBX in Santa Barbara.  Wilmer, an award-winning author and journalist, was selected by NPR to feature his podcast segments on its site. Wilmer chose to highlight our region.  The Podcast will be uploaded today, Friday (July 27) and accessible to the public for one week at  http://www.npr.org/rss/podcast/podcast_detail.php?siteId=5593978.  It will be archived and accessible at NPR Affiliate station KCBX for up to 2 years. http://kcbx.org/mp3archive/audlog_roanoke1.mp3
