A new article on Matador Network showcases many of the unforgettable experiences visitors can have during a trip to Virginia.
The piece, titled "17 Unforgettable Moments You'll Have on a Trip to Virginia," is produced in partnership with the Virginia Tourism Corporation and highlights unique moments around the Commonwealth.
The list includes three of our most iconic experiences in Virginia's Blue Ridge:
- Waking up on the water at Smith Mountain Lake
- Marveling at the enormity of the Natural Bridge
- Reaching for the Roanoke Star on Mill Mountain
The following is an excerpt from the section about the Star:
"The world’s largest man-made illuminated star welcomes visitors to the Blue Ridge Mountains — and is a great spot for a gorgeous view overlooking the Roanoke Valley. Originally built as a Christmas decoration in 1949, the 88-foot neon star (lit nightly) has become an iconic symbol of the region."
