Local Hotel Company Honored with Prestigious Premier Hotelier Award

Choice Hotels International, Inc., named local hotel development company, Dominion Lodging Inc. recipient of the 2013 Premier Hotelier award. Dominion Lodging owns and manages 11 hotels in Southwest Virginia including 4 in Roanoke - Best Western Inn at Valley View, Comfort Inn Valley View Mall, MainStay Suites and the Comfort Inn - Troutville. Dominion Lodging, located in Daleville, is a family business headed by Norman Andersen and his two sons David Andersen and Craig Andersen. This elite distinction is in recognition of Dominion Lodging's commitment to the Choice Hotels family of brands. This prestigious honor was announced during the 59th annual Choice Hotels International convention in Los Angeles.

The Premier Hotelier award recognizes exceptional franchisees who develop properties with Choice Hotels, live up to the brand promise through excellent property performance, and are active in the franchise community. The award recognizes owners who are truly committed to the brand and who work closely with Choice Hotels to enhance the brand's success.
