Visit Virginia’s Blue Ridge was thrilled to partner with Tara Butler of the blog Lace & Grace for her recent visit to the region.

As part of her weekend getaway to Virginia’s Blue Ridge, Tara took over the visitvbr Instagram account to document her adventures and share her experiences with the account’s followers.

Tara also wrote about her weekend in the region with a recap post on her blog that documents how she spent her “48 Hours in Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains.”

The post highlights many of the wonderful experiences you can have during a getaway to Virginia’s Blue Ridge, including visiting Virginia Tech, attending a concert at Berglund Center, hiking on Mill Mountain, having breakfast at Scratch Biscuit Company and checking out the many great local shops in Downtown Roanoke. She also wrote about the wonderful accommodations at Cambria Suites.

Here is an excerpt from the blog post:

"We went back to the hotel to get ready for the day and then headed to the Market District downtown to explore some of the shops and have burgers and beers at Jack Brown’s.  Jack Brown’s was our kind of place- with delicious burger combinations and 100 craft beers available (yes 100!).

For lunch I ordered the special- “The Ponch” (Wagyu patty, guac, bacon, white cheddar and sriracha mayo) with a side of sweet potato fries.  AMAZING you guys! And at such a great price."

The feature also includes many wonderful images of local experiences in Virginia’s Blue Ridge.
