A day in the Roanoke Valley is full of unique opportunities and experiences. You can learn about the region's rich railroad heritage at the Virginia Museum of Transportation. Take in the beauty and wonder of one of the nation's oldest tourist sites, Natural Bridge, located in nearby Rockbridge County. Honor those who served our country in World War II by visiting the National D-Day Memorial in Bedford. And stand among the stars at the Roanoke Star and Overlook, which sits atop Roanoke's Mill Mountain and provides a breathtaking view of the Roanoke Valley and surrounding mountains. The Roanoke Valley has so much to offer, it will have you wishing you could go back in time to experience even more.
