This classic Virginia hike features on of the state's most striking waterfalls and the colors of the trees resemble an apple orchard, which is why it was named Apple Orchard Mountain. This walk through the forest will take your breath away.
Directions:Take I-81 to Exit 168. From Exit 168, follow Rt. 614 for approximately 3 miles. Turn left on Forest Road 59 at the North Creek Campground sign and follow it 4 miles until the road ends at the trailhead. The Apple Orchard Falls Trail leads to the left.
