The fundamental purpose of the National Center for Tourism & Hospitality, a career division of National College of Business & Technology, is to educate men and women for the duties and responsibilities of business life and to help place them in positions where there is opportunity for advancement. Students receive training for exciting careers with airlines, hotels, cruise ships, travel agencies, restaurant/bars, resorts, theme parks, tour companies, reservation centers, visitor/convention services and many other travel-related businesses. As an official test site for the Travel Institute and of the American Hotel & Lodging Association, the Center provides students an opportunity to earn highly coveted designations and certifications in key skill areas including management, sales & marketing, customer service excellence and several tourism product knowledge subjects. Computers are used across the curriculum to ensure hands-on experience in the latest technology used by airlines, hotels and travel agencies. Students gain practical knowledge through an active internship program with local tourism businesses. National College is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools to award Bachelor degrees, Associate degrees and diplomas. The Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools, founded in 1912, is listed as a nationally recognized accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education. Its accreditation of degree-granting institutions is also recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
