Yelp

Craig Creek is an incredibly beautiful shallow creek that meanders its way through lush vegetation. It is best paddled in the fall or spring, or after a significant rainfall. The creek offers opportunities for: Canoe and kayak, Fishing and Tubing. Fishing: Craig Creek flows into the upper James River. This stream is stocked by the state with feisty rainbow, brook, and brown trout from an area hatchery. In summer, the water level in this stream gets low, and stocking is suspended until the creek refills. Trout fishing is best in late fall, winter, and early to late spring.
