The Taubman Museum of Art is located in the heart of downtown Roanoke. The museum features modern and contemporary art drawn from collections around the world, regional art, touring exhibitions and the museum's permanent collection of American paintings from the 19^th and early 20^th centuries. Art Venture, an interactive, exploratory gallery for youth and families, offers hands-on art stations in painting, drawing, theater, printmaking, building, sculpture, 3D printing, music, and more. While visiting, plan to shop at the Museum Store, which showcases exhibit-related merchandise, regional fine crafts, and unique gifts from around the world. Dine at Norah’s Café, offering simple-yet-upscale dining in a contemporary café setting. Touch plate replicas of several pieces in our permanent collection will also be available in our Art Venture interactive gallery to enhance the experience for all visitors.
