Volunteer Opportunities

Visit Virginia's Blue Ridge invites you to learn more about potential opportunities to help promote the Roanoke Valley in Virginia's Blue Ridge! You can help share what makes the culture and character of Virginia's Blue Ridge so special.

Visitor Information Center Travel Counselors

The Virginia's Blue Ridge Visitor Information Center is located in Downtown Roanoke on Shenandoah Avenue in the former N&W Passenger Train Station. For many visitors to Virginia's Blue Ridge, the Visitor Information Center will be their first stop when they arrive in the Roanoke Valley. We want their first impression of our region to be one of feeling welcomed and important, and for the Visitor Information Center to be a place where they can receive information to make their stay an enjoyable one.

The travel counselors at the Visitor Information Center play a vital part in helping accomplish this goal. Our volunteer travel counselors provide a wealth of knowledge about Virginia's Blue Ridge and the many things visitors can experience during their time in the area. Visit Virginia's Blue Ridge provides materials, training information, and updates to give volunteers the resources to assist visitors - all while having fun and being part of our team!

If you are interested in learning more about the process of becoming a travel counselor, fill out the form below, and someone will contact you.
